DUBAI – The Edge of Life campaign in Dubai has opened seven official contribution channels, allowing individuals and institutions to donate through verified platforms during Ramadan.

The initiative seeks to mobilise wide community support to help children facing hunger across vulnerable regions. Donations are being accepted locally and internationally through digital, banking and telecom-based options.

Launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the campaign aims to raise at least Dh1 million to help rescue five million children worldwide from the threat of hunger. Campaign organisers highlight that globally, five children under the age of five die every minute due to malnutrition and hunger, especially in areas affected by conflict and natural disasters.

Donation channels

Contributions can be made through the campaign’s official website, which accepts donations from individuals, companies and institutions inside and outside the UAE. The platform is designed for direct online giving with secure payment processing.

A dedicated toll-free call centre is also operating at 8004999, available daily from 10am to 5pm including weekends. Donors can arrange their contributions directly through call centre representatives.

Bank transfers

Direct bank transfers are enabled through the campaign’s official account at Emirates Islamic Bank. Donations can be sent in UAE dirhams using the published IBAN: AE940340003708472909222.

SMS donations are available through UAE telecom networks. One-time contributions can be made by sending messages to the following numbers:

  • Send “Father” to 1034 to donate Dh10
  • Send “Father” to 1035 to donate Dh50
  • Send “Father” to 1036 to donate Dh100
  • Send “Father” to 1038 to donate Dh500

These SMS options are enabled on du and e& networks.

Digital platforms

Smart donations are also enabled through the DubaiNow app under the Donations tab, in cooperation with Digital Dubai. The app allows residents to contribute quickly using integrated government payment services.

Online fundraising platform YallaGive also lists the campaign under its Donations section, expanding access for digital contributors and community fundraisers.

Another route is through the Dubai community contributions platform Jood, where individuals and institutions can create dedicated portfolios and mini campaigns. The system allows businesses, public and private sector entities, celebrities and community groups to encourage their networks to donate collectively.

The campaign operates under Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and focuses on sustainable programmes targeting childhood hunger. It is being implemented in partnership with UNICEF, Save the Children, Children's Investment Fund Foundation, and Action Against Hunger, supporting coordinated humanitarian delivery across affected regions.
